Norma Wimberly
NORMA WIMBERLY is a teacher, freelance writer, spiritual mentor and Lee's wife. For several years, she was a Director of the Section on Stewardship of the General Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church. Ms. Wimberly has developed and led workshops and seminars devoted to discovering and deepening the spiritual life. She is the author of Dare to Be Stewards, Earth Care, Putting God First: The Tithe, other books and study guides and numerous articles for a variety of publications. She was the co-editor of the three-volume Abingdon Guide To Funding Ministry. Norma has been the featured speaker for many national spiritual gatherings, including the Ecumenical Stewardship Center and the Christian Stewardship Association of the Evangelical Churches in America.
Since 1987, Ms. Wimberly has worked with spiritual mentors and has utilitzed her skills and insights to mentor others.
A mentor is a trusted guide. Mutual trust, respect, honesty and open-mindedness are vital to the mentoring relationship. Spiritual mentoring is a shared journey, one in which the guide and the guided grow spiritually more mature. Each is willing to make a commitment to the other.
